Marijke Lukowicz

Mediator in North Rhine-Westphalia in tandem with Sophia Trollmann

"For me, art and creative action are essential in a democratic society. Involving as many different people as possible – even without a professional background – in artistic processes in a responsible way is what makes the New Patrons method so relevant for me."

Marijke Lukowicz is an art historian and curator. She studied art history in Münster and Naples. During her studies, she worked for Skulptur Projekte Münster 2007 and the Boros Collection in Berlin. Between 2013 and 2017, she worked at the LWL Museum of Art and Culture in Münster, including as deputy curator for contemporary art. Since December 2018, she has been curator for the Emscherkunstweg project at Urbane Künste Ruhr in the Ruhr region. In April 2024, she was appointed artistic director of Tatort Paderborn 2025. She is an elected member of the advisory board of the Westfälischer Kunstverein and the art advisory board of the city of Kiel.
