Our partners
From federal ministries to independent philanthropists, from municipal cultural administrations to industrial corporations, from foundations to local craftspeople: there are many supporters behind Kunst im Bürgerauftrag who are committed to promoting democracy, culture and a more active role in shaping society. Partners from academia, culture and the media place the work of the New Patrons in the context of current debates and larger contexts, both for the general public and for specialist audiences. Many forces work together in newly formed alliances to ensure that the projects succeed on the ground.

Expert forum "Landwärts"
The expert forum Landwärts is funded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community as part of the federal program Zusammenhalt durch Teilhabe. The cooperation partner for this activity is the Gesellschaft für Kunst und Mediation im Bürgerauftrag e.V. (Association for Citizen-Commisisoned Art and Mediation).
The New Patrons of Friedland
The concept development phase was funded by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation). The implementation is supported by the Brandenburgischer Kunstverein e. V. and funded by various public funding bodies: the walks were funded by the Miteinander Reden program of the Federal Agency for Civic Education (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung). The audio pieces, including the website and map, were funded by the Fonds Soziokultur. The “treasure maps” received the machen!2021 award, presented by the Federal Government Commissioner for Eastern Germany in cooperation with the German Foundation for Civic Engagement and Volunteering. The prize money was used to support the production of the audio pieces.
The draft phase was supported by the Kulturstiftung des Bundes (German Federal Cultural Foundation). The project (commission/artwork) is supported by public sponsors, companies and foundations as well as numerous private supporters, both through donations and contributions in kind and labor. We are very grateful to all of them, including those who do not wish to be named.
