Dörte Wolter
Mediator in Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania
“For me, dance is political – whether on stage, in the classroom, or in public space. What excites me about the New Patrons is the urgency with which citizens take action on their concerns, and how this brings together people whose paths would otherwise likely never cross in everyday life. As a mediator, I experience the highs and lows that come with this process at close range.”
Dörte Wolter works as a cultural producer in Berlin and Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania. She is a founding member and co-director of the Stralsund-based association Perform[d]ance e.
